  K.G.F: Chapter 2 is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language period action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films' Vijay Kiragandur. It is the second edition in a two-part series and a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj feature in the film. It follows Rocky, an assassin who, after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must maintain his dominance over enemies and government officials while simultaneously confronting his history.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the most costly Kannada film ever filmed, at a budget of 100 crores. The technicians from its predecessor were retained for Neel, with Bhuvan Gowda handling cinematography and Ravi Basrur writing the soundtrack and songs of the movie, and he also shot the film. Dutt and Tandon joined the cast in early 2019, the former making his Kannada film debut. Parts of the film were shot concurrently with Chapter 1. The rest of the sequences began principal filming in March 2019 but were postponed in February 2020 due to the COVID-19 shutdown in India. Five months later, filming resumed and was finished in December 2020. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, and Kolar were among the cities visited.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 was released theatrically in India on 14 April 2022 in Kannada, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. It's also the first Kannada film to be released in IMAX format. Critics gave the picture mixed reviews, with some praising the director and others criticizing it. The action sequences, cinematography, and performances (especially Yash, Dutt, and Tandon) were all excellent, but the pacing and screenplay were criticized. Aside from that, it had the second biggest opening day in India, established domestic opening day records in Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam, and eclipsed its predecessor's lifetime total in two days to become the highest-grossing Kannada film.

 K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time, and the second highest-grossing picture in India, with global profits of $1,200-1,250. A sequel is in the works.

Storyline

Rocky, whose name strikes dread in the hearts of his opponents, has taken over the blood-soaked area of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). Rocky's friends regard him as their savior, the government sees him as a danger to law and order, and his foes are plotting his demise. Rocky's drive for unrivaled domination will lead to bloodier fights and darker days.
